Our vineyards rest on soils of granite origin, rich in silica. In the lower layers we find stone and granitic sand, what restricts production but grants our wines with a wider concentration of flavours. The sandy texture of the soil and a slightly acid pH contribute to the characteristic aromatic character of our region.
Weeds are controlled with regular mowing, to avoid soil erosion down the hillside. At the same time, the soil is enriched with natural organic matter.
With the use of pesticides we also implement and environmentally respectful criterion, to preserve the nature of the grapes and the yeast stuck to the grape skin, in charge of the later fermentation of the juices obtained; the vineyard is a natural environment, full of fragrances from the indigenous vegetation of the vineyard and its surroundings.
